Welcome,
The Cushman Foundation for Foraminiferal Research (CFFR) is dedicated to providing a safe and inclusive environment for all our members and those within the larger community studying foraminifera and allied organisms. We encourage the exchange of scientific ideas, data, endeavors, and international collaborations. The mission and vision of CFFR is to welcome and support our international community and diverse members. The CFFR does not discriminate in its activities and services to our members or those within the broader community based on but not limited to race/ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, socioeconomic status, and parental/caregiver status. The CFFR continues to ensure that all activities related to and sponsored by the Foundation are conducted professionally, with all participants treated with respect and dignity.
CFFR’s privilege and duty is to serve our community and members and to broaden participation in the sciences related to foraminifera and allied organisms. We have and will continue to increase accessibility, equity, and inclusion for our community members through our grants, fellowships, and awards; continued financial support to our members to participate in foraminiferal-centric meetings and workshops; and through our reduced membership rates for students and those in developing nations.
CFFR’s goal is to determine how we can continue to best support our members and increase access to and diversity within the geosciences. Together, our Board continues to have conversations about AIDE and invites input on the best ways to further our mission and vision.
