The Cushman Foundation for Foraminiferal Research (CFFR) is committed to fostering an environment where all members and those in the broader community studying foraminifera and allied organisms feel supported. We promote the exchange of scientific ideas, data, endeavors, and collaborations on an international scale. CFFR welcomes and supports individuals from a variety of backgrounds and experiences. We ensure that all activities and services provided by the Foundation are conducted with professionalism, treating all participants with courtesy and respect.
To advance participation in the scientific study of foraminifera and related organisms, the CFFR offers research grants, travel grants, internships, fellowships, and awards. In addition, the CFFR offers free student memberships and reduced membership rates for individuals experiencing financial hardship.
CFFR continues to explore the best ways to support members and encourage involvement in the geosciences. The CFFR Board of Directors remains engaged in discussions on how to achieve this mission and welcomes input on future efforts.
